About Me
I'm told I was drawing just as soon as I could hold a pencil. I certainly can't remember a time I WASN'T interested in art! My other loves are of music, philosophy, religion, and of course, the great outdoors.
As a child, I mostly drew animals and cartoon-y things. When I moved on from grade school, a friend's borrowed tapes fostered an interest in Japanese Anime, and I practiced drawing it obsessively. But it became tiresome after a while, and so I shifted my focus to American comics, and drawing people realistically.
My current style is somewhat a blend of all of these, though I would like to move toward considerable skill in drawing the human head and figure. Soon I'll be taking college art classes in an effort to accomplish this.
Mostly, I just like to draw! Another thing I like to do perhaps equally as much, though, is to work with Adobe Flash. My experience with this program goes back to when we bought Macromedia Flash 5, which I think was about 8 or 9 years ago. By now, it is second-nature to work with, and by far my favorite of the vector programs.
I'm trying to learn other programs, too, like Illustrator and Fireworks. Which brings me to my next point: my job! Right now I work for Altered Impressions, a company set up to tailor Web sites to satisfaction. My jobs are numerous, but my favorite thing to do on the clock is design Flash interfaces for clients.
Well, that's about it. Enjoy the site!
